Why Did God Create You?

Jesus is there

Many people wonder why God created them, but the Bible says we were all created for God’s pleasure. I couldn’t wrap my own head around the fact that God made me for his pleasure. I am a sinner who doesn’t deserve God’s mercy or grace. How could God get pleasure for my sinful ways? Everyone sins and fall short of God’s glory. However, through Jesus, we can be forgiven of those sins and be cover by his blood sacrifice.

Rev. 4:12 (KJV) “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for Thou has created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”

This verse means a lot to me, as someone who truly tries to remember every day to somehow bring God pleasure. I love writing, so I use my talent to try and make sense of my everyday stumbles. Sometimes, I feel like God is right there holding my hand but other times I feel he is distant. However, I truly believe that my sin blocks my relationship with God and I choose to repent. I know I am forgiven when I stumble and fall. He is there to lift me back up, because he loves me.

Psalms 72:13 (KJV) “He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.”

So, now I try to take time to honor God every day. No matter the storm I am facing, I am trying to remember to pray and stay connected with God. I love reading and listening to my Bible, but I use a YOU VERSION app on my phone. I have been learning more and trying to always remember to thank God for each new day that I wake up. I am imperfect and I know that, but God wants me as I am. He can mold me into what he wants me to be with each new step.

Personal Opinion- God doesn’t make junk!**

**I cannot go to church as regular as I want, but I spend a lot of time praying and seeking God’s guidance in my life. God gives me so much, so I can spend time with God at home and I can work on my failures. I hope this devotional can help you in your walk with God. Keeping a prayer journal can help you learn how to give your problems to God and learn how to pray to him.**

Meet a Volunteer: Kakande Muhamad

I am Kakande Muhamad and I am a volunteer, who is running the Reallife Orphanage Home. I am a native thirty-two-year-old, who is currently caring for twenty children. Additionally, I am working with several volunteers to care for these lovely children. Some of these children have lost their parents in the war, some were abandoned, and others lost their parents to illnesses like HIV/AIDS. These children are vulnerable and need sponsors to get the daily food, and medications or school items.

Our Mission at the Orphanage

As volunteers our mission is to provide, love, support, and daily care for the vulnerable children in the slum communities near our orphanage. Our long term goal is to find each child a permanent home and someone to love them. Currently, we need sponsors that can help us keep the orphanage open, as well as help provide these children with their daily needs. We need food that will not perish like beans, maize, rice, and other foods that help nourish these precious children.

How I Began Helping These Special Kids

I was born and grew up in Bwaise neighborhood which is a slum, but during this time I saw many children die for many reasons. I have seen children thrown into water channels or drainage systems, which hurt me deeply, because these poor children died. Unfortunately, I have also seen other children living in old broken down houses and along the streets. These children would sleep wherever they could sleep and I wanted to do something to help the orphans in my own community.

After seriously soul searching, I decided to open an orphanage, which does not turn these vulnerable children and babies away. However, I need to have sponsors to help me keep the orphanage open and caring for these special children. We must pay house rent, as well as get the daily things children need like food and bathing supplies. The children’s sponsors will also help buy clothes, mosquito nets (Malaria Protection), medicine, and educational needs.

Meet Baby Hope

Orphan 1

Baby Hope ©Kakande Muhamad

This little girl is fourteen-months-old and she is known as baby Hope. She is currently living at the Reallife Home Orphanage and no one knows who her parents are. Sadly, baby Hope was found late at night and she was lying curled up next to a toilet in a Kampala, Uganda neighborhood called Bwaise. This run down neighborhood is known for prostitution and sex workers. She was alone and desperately needed help, so the volunteers brought her to the orphanage, but at this time she doesn’t have a name.

Therefore, I have chosen to call her Baby Hope and the volunteers need help with someone to sponsor this beautiful little girl. As a sponsor, you will make sure she eats daily and gets medication when she is sick. Baby Hope deserves to be happy and cared for, even though she has had a rough start to life. She is now in the care of volunteers, who want to help her live a long happy yet full life.

Meet Simon Mugerwa

Orphan 2

Simon Mugerwa ©Kakande Muhamad

This is Simon Mugerwa and he is five-year-old boy, who is one of our special orphaned children. Unfortunately, Simon lost his father in 2014 and his mother could no longer care for this handsome little boy. He is a happy little boy, who has dreams of being a doctor, so he wants to get an education. However, he needs a sponsor that can help him realize his dream, due to the required school fees.

Simon loves to play with his friends at the orphanage, he loves the volunteers, and he enjoys riding his bicycle. Additionally, he loves watching cartoons and he is a very energetic little boy, who is full of love for everyone. Currently, he needs a sponsor that can help us get him into school, as well as helping with his daily needs like food and medication. Therefore take a moment to learn more about Simon and his friend baby Hope.

Contact Information

Any sponsors who may want to help our orphanage or sponsor a child, please feel free to contact me on my Facebook page Reallife Orphanage Home. We have limited internet contact at this time, so bear with us as we hope to grow and make a difference in the lives of these special children. We are hoping to build a website and other ways to help you learn more about our orphanage. The children and I send much love, peace, and light to you all. May God bless you.

Jacksonville, FL. /February 1, 2016-A woman with severe brain injury is missing and has been for over six months now. The family is praying that she will come home soon, so they are trying to get the word out about her disappearance with pictures to share on Facebook and other social media venues. According to News4Jax, Michelle’s family reports her missing from the Riverside area of the First Coast on July 10th, 2015 after not hearing from her.

She was headed to the store according to her friends, but she never returned from the store and hasn’t been seen yet. The family has been desperately searching for the missing 49 year-old woman GinaMichelle” Ennis. According to News4Jax, she has not been seen since July 10th, 2015 when her friends said the she left their house on Stockton St. and Edison Ave. while heading to the store. Unfortunately, Michelle had a severe, yet traumatic brain injury in the late 1990’s.

The doctors had surgically removed part of her frontal lobe of her brain. However, the family reported that procedure affected her judgment and her family thinks she could be vulnerable in her condition. According to New4Jax, the family told the police about her brain injury, so they can help find out exactly what may have happened to her during her walk to the store. The family thinks that someone may be keeping her against her will and they just want her to come home.

Michelle’s family members believe that she would never run away or disappear on her own, because she is a mother, grandmother, sister, and she is loved by many people. However, according to New4Jax, she did live as a homeless person or transient before her sudden disappearance. Every few days, Michelle would call one of her family members and so far she has not reached out to anyone. Her family said she always carried her suitcase with her, but she didn’t take it when she left to walk to the store.

Her family says Michelle has not and cannot drive, so her relatives are begging everyone to look for her in their own area of town. Her relatives are afraid that someone has either kidnapped her or she met with foul play. According to New4Jax, Michelle’s friends and family are praying that she has not been thrown away like piece of household trash. If you have any information on this case or the whereabouts of Gina “Michelle” Ennis, then please call the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office or CrimeStoppers.

Coming Home

impossible God

You’re the one I look to when my life falls apart,
You have had me in your hands from the start.
My life was bleak when I decided to move away,
So today, I come back home to you and here I will stay.

I know you will accept me, so I don’t feel an ounce of fear,
I am humbled, on my knees, and silently listening to hear.
Where do I go next as I choose to let you guide me,
You are the only the one in this world that can set me free.

Only you know where my life will ultimately lead,
I haven’t forgotten that I gave you my heart and its deed.
I have stumbled through life and looked for guidance from all,
Instead, I found a ton of strength the moment I took my fall.

I will continue to grow in the ways you choose for my life,
Despite the trials and tribulations that will cut like a knife.
Lord, I know you are in control of my life and my future,
Therefore, the peace will replace the temporary sutures.

Tonight I am in exotic bliss,

Since, I experienced my first kiss.

As you walked me to my door,

My lips begged for more.

As I say good night and climb in bed,

A full moon is shining overhead.

My heart is dancing with delight,

This will be a memorable night.

No one can change this magical day,

For you left me with so much to say.

My life will never be the same,

This first kiss will always remain.

Freelance Author: What is NaNoWriMo?

Nanowrimo1The creators of the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) wanted to find a way, for amateurs and professionals to find common ground. They desired to bring more aspiring authors, into the competitive market of novel writing. All of the participants are solely based on the amount of writing, which they produced in thirty days, instead of the quality. Basically, NaNoWriMo program was created about eight years ago, in order to showcase a writer’s dedication to their writing.

However, since the contest creation, the program has expanded into a global revolution that is sweeping the world of writing. According to the Office of Letters and Light (2006), over 79,000 participants entered last year. Unfortunately, only about “13,000” (office of Letters and Light, 2006), were able to actually finish their novel. Each participant will try for their chance to become a new novelist, but only a few will be reaching their goal.

Basically, anyone can join, as long as they are able to write a “175 page (50,000 words) novel” (The Office of Letters and light, 2006), during the month of November. Fortunately, the aspiring authors will not have to worry about the daunting task of perfecting each word or sentence. The NaNoWriMo program mainly focuses on an artist’s hard work and their commitment to writing daily.

This contest encourages amateurs and professional authors to enter into the friendly competition. Don’t worry about the mistakes that will be made, since only they only judge the total word count. Every contestant is judged and rewarded for their daily perseverance. Also, the website offers a community to gain encouragement or to talk about the joys and sorrows of writing.

For more information or to join the revolution that is sweeping the writing world, go to www.nanowrimo.org. This program allows a would-be author, to work hard and attempt to write a novel in thirty days from a blank page. Most of the aspiring authors come from several countries and different walks of life. Yet, each one has a sincere desire, to see their novel published and circulating in the local bookstores.

Therefore, this year’s many contestants will be attempting to write their way into, “NaNoWriMo superstardom” (Office of Letters and Light, 2006). On November 1, 2015, a new round of contestants will be shooting for the finishing line.  So, get ready to join them in a program, which will showcase the hard work of both amateurs and professionals alike. The contestants enjoy writing their heart out, while competing for the chance to be noticed by others.
