There are going to be times when you will find out certain things that may hurt or upset you about someone you love. Focus on maintaining your composure and gather your thoughts before you decide to react to the revelation. Sometimes, you must deal with the pain of knowing the truth. Stay silent, but inside you are putting different things together about a person that you have never noticed before.

Each new frame that rolls in your mind will be different snapshots and memories that you have stored in your mind over time. As the pictures, conversations, and actions begin to line up perfectly like a jigsaw puzzle. Honestly, you are now fast approaching an uncontrollable angry explosion, which is known as a click, click…boom moment! Unfortunately, you know the truth based on your own perception of what you have seen or heard.

These thoughts stir up your anger, while you fight to hold back the spontaneous combustion that you know is quickly coming. Stop allowing these thoughts to dominate your mind, instead distract yourself with watching funny videos or listening to upbeat music. Don’t focus on the pain you feel, instead be thankful that you now know the absolute truth and start changing your part in the narrative of your story.

Walk away and let it go, because it is not healthy to hold anger in or to allow it to fester due to the pain you feel at this moment. Stay strong and keep moving away from them, until you are no longer part of their life. Try to identify or learn what triggers your angry outbursts and learn to let go for peace sakes. Remember that becoming angry is natural, but letting your temper explode on your family and friends is not.

On The Road to Recovery

Ok, everything you; once loved or cared about is gone! Are you going to lay in bed and cry, while the rest of the world moves on without you? Sometimes, through our bad choices in life we become toxic to others and they decide to remove themselves from our lives to save their own sanity, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t love you anymore.

It just means, you need to focus on making better choices and rebuilding a lifestyle that others can accept. Start, by figuring out “WHO YOU TRULY ARE!” underneath the pain and shame, that covers your heart like a thick winter coat. You have you to peel back each layer of guilt, in order to find the frightened child that you abandoned so long ago.

Now, you will need to make two notebooks with simple section dividers and papers. Make each each notebook a different color and keep them near your sitting area, because you will be writing in them a lot. Look in your kitchen cabinet for a simple coffee cup to place a couple pens in, just in case you have a thought and you need to find a pen quickly.

Start, by setting daily goals in one notebook like: remembering to take your medicine or cleaning your house. Write stuff that can be achieved from the time that the sun rises in the morning until the sun sets in the evening. Next, you will create weekly goals, monthly goals, and yearly goals. Then, use your second notebook to begin in journaling your thoughts like in a journal or diary.

Unfortunately, you have to accept that your life has violently changed and that it will never be the same as it was. Your spouse or children may never comeback, but if you feel lonely and depressed all the time. Look into adopting a pet from a local shelter that needs you, but are you a cat or a dog person. Yes, there is a major difference, since a cat requires little care and a dog requires constant supervision.

However, you must be a responsible person to own a pet, because they are like children and do require daily care. You can go to an Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or (NA) Narcotic Anonymous meetings or church, in order to find friends that will support you on your journey to recovery. Don’t discouraged if you fail, because your loved one will notice that you are at least out there trying to change.

Whatever you do, just do ii! The hardest step is the first one and each step gets easier as long as you are moving. Find out what your problem and seek treatment, while creating new friends and new places to hang out. Don’t go back to what broke you and don’t invite more drama into your life.

Are you a new and struggling freelance writer, who is looking for a way to make a living with your creative talent? Do you have a computer with a word processing program, a smart phone, and access to the internet? Have you already created a portfolio online and offline, in order to send to or show potential clients? Make sure that your portfolio has a current picture of you, a biography, and all the links or copies of the articles that has been published.

Include your best writing samples, in order to showcase your freelance work that has not been published online or offline. One way, to build your portfolio is to submit or pitch your articles to blog owners or website owners. You can also build a personal blog and publish your writing on your very own blogging platforms like WordPress, Weebly, or Blogger. There are websites that will allow you to join their website community and you may be able to find clients that need your freelance services.

Next, start searching the internet for freelance job listings or databases, which will allow you to register and apply for freelance work. Here are a couple websites to get you started on your freelancing journey, so check out www.upwork.com and www.freelancer.com. However, be sure to check out each new website that offers writing for cash with the Better Business Bureau first. This way, you can avoid being scammed by companies that charge you a monthly fee and never find you any work.

So, look into the community or database that you plan to join and avoid the frustration, which most young writers endure. But, you also visit the library or local bookstore, in order to find books that list the current freelance markets that are available. Additionally, there are blogs and websites that are devoted to listing information about magazines and blogs that are looking for current submissions. Before submitting anything, read each listing carefully and follow the websites guidelines or special needs of each editor.

Finally, submit an article to the local newspaper office or submit it online with a copy of your resume and several different writing samples. Submit articles that will capture an editor’s eye and his interest, so you will have a better chance of being selected for future assignments. Remember to connect with other writers and ask them ask about their favorite writing sites, in order to keep up with the growing profession of freelance writing.

His Kiss

Lilly Maxwell-His Kiss poem

©Lilly Maxwell

He hugged me,

Came closer and kissed me.

He kissed me in the most passionate way,

I’ve ever been kissed I felt my mind go blank.

My stomach went to knots,

My heart was pounding against my chest.

I loved the feeling and I never wanted it to stop,

I really like him and I know he likes me too.

Why Did God Create You?

Jesus is there

©Whynotdakidd/Instapray.com

Many people wonder why God created them, but the Bible says we were all created for God’s pleasure. I couldn’t wrap my own head around the fact that God made me for his pleasure. I am a sinner who doesn’t deserve God’s mercy or grace. How could God get pleasure for my sinful ways? Everyone sins and fall short of God’s glory. However, through Jesus, we can be forgiven of those sins and be cover by his blood sacrifice.

Rev. 4:12 (KJV) “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for Thou has created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”

This verse means a lot to me, as someone who truly tries to remember every day to somehow bring God pleasure. I love writing, so I use my talent to try and make sense of my everyday stumbles. Sometimes, I feel like God is right there holding my hand but other times I feel he is distant. However, I truly believe that my sin blocks my relationship with God and I choose to repent. I know I am forgiven when I stumble and fall. He is there to lift me back up, because he loves me.

Psalms 72:13 (KJV) “He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.”

So, now I try to take time to honor God every day. No matter the storm I am facing, I am trying to remember to pray and stay connected with God. I love reading and listening to my Bible, but I use a YOU VERSION app on my phone. I have been learning more and trying to always remember to thank God for each new day that I wake up. I am imperfect and I know that, but God wants me as I am. He can mold me into what he wants me to be with each new step.

**I cannot go to church as regular as I want, but I spend a lot of time praying and seeking God’s guidance in my life. God gives me so much, so I can spend time with God at home and I can work on my failures. I hope this devotional can help you in your walk with God. Keeping a prayer journal can help you learn how to give your problems to God and learn how to pray to him.**

The White Topped Dress

The world is made up of a multitude of people,

Each and every person wants to be treated equal.

There are a lot of tough times and good ones too,

However, there are so many things we like to do.

It is difficult to tell someone how you feel,

Nevertheless, when I tell you my love is real.

Currently, I feel like my world has faded to black,

I feel there is no one who can bring the color back.

I don’t feel like there is any one I can lean on,

Today, I know you are not here and you are gone.

Everything I touch seems to turn into a mess,

Since I met the girl  wearing the white topped dress.
